"Very happy with the service from Sian and the team. Initial call out was charged at £60 for assessment and diagnosis as agreed prior to visit. Thereafter Sian arranged the follow up visits to repair the car and get it going. Due to electrical and mechanical issues it needed 2 visits which is my only words of caution - don’t expect everything to be fixed on the first (or even second visit) as parts or additional expertise may be needed. Sian communicated this clearly and has to be expected with mobile servicing as they can’t carry everything and every part with them at all times. Nevertheless it made life easy and Sian and the team were able to fix the car in my absence taking loads of hassle away compared to getting to a garage etc and back."

Went to another garage with problems with my dpf filter. They told me the problems were so severe that it almost would be un-economical to repair. They then took more than a week to come back to me with a quote for the initial work, which wouldn't even solve the problem, but would enable them to start fault finding. After the other garage dragged their heels and gave me the impression that they didn't even want to do the work, I called kings car repairs. Within 24 hours, they had come out to have a proper look at my van and give me a quote for what was needed. I split it up over 2 visits and my van has NEVER ran better or driven as smoothly as it does now.
Throughout the process the communication and customer service I received was second to none, and the standard of work was faultless. They went out of their way to make it easy for me as I was in the middle of moving house when I first contacted them and I couldn't ask for better.
I was told by the previous garage that the turbo was okay and I had to change other parts before they could investigate further. Kings came to have a look and told me the turbo was the root cause of the dpf blockage, and they changed the turbo, egr valve and a coolant hose to the egr valve which was leaking. They also did a self regen from the diagnostic equipment to significantly clean the dpf and replaced an exhaust gas temperature sensor which had failed. After this they noted a few problems, one of my drive shafts was on its way out, and the seal between the engine and clutch was leaking a large amount of oil. They came back less than 2 weeks later to change the clutch, engine seal, and driveshaft and my van drives like it did out of the show room and much better than it ever has in the 6 years I've owned it. I will never use anyone other than kings car repairs going forward and would recommend them to anyone.
Seriously, if you're looking through reviews and wondering whether to give them a call about any issue, do it. I went from thinking I was going to have to scrap my van, to having a van that drives like new and will last me for a good few more years yet, all thanks to these guys.
